Wasn't it just last autumn that I voted in elections, and the year before that, and the year before that? And almost always I've discovered that I could have made a better choice. Last year I experienced my fastest disillusionment so far: within a week after his election my candidate had announced his support for the Southern Harbour hotel project which I strongly oppose.

So now, at the EU elections, what to do? I seriously considered a) not voting, b) voting for Freddy Van Wonterghem. However, I did the conventional thing, voted (in advance) for a candidate whom I regard as intelligent and who represents an acceptable party. Now all I have to do is hope he won't be elected.
