The Cunning Little Vixen by Leoš Janáček was so cunning that it slipped me completely: I got laryngitis and had to stay home - I'm still croaking, but the cough seems to be gone. I gave my ticket to a co-worker who had never been to opera before. She seemed pleased with the experience, and recommended that I go see it another time if possible. The reviews have concentrated on Klaus Haapaniemi's colourful set design almost forgetting all the other aspects of an opera, usually considered more important.
